Entry-Door Installation Preparation
A well-made door can still perform poorly if the opening, drainage and installation interfaces are unresolved. Installation preparation connects the approved drawing to actual site conditions and assigned local responsibilities.
Confirm the opening is ready
Check width, height, diagonals, plumb, level, wall build-up, structural support, threshold elevation and surrounding waterproofing against the approved information.
Prepare people, tools and lifting
Use the recorded crate and product information to plan unloading, lifting points, temporary support, fasteners, sealants, access equipment and a safe work area.
Protect, adjust and record handoff
After setting the frame and leaf, check operation, clearances, locks, seals and drainage paths. Protect finished surfaces and record open items before the project team accepts handoff.

Can installation begin before finished floor levels are known?
